Gladys Aleen Bell
Gladys Aleen Bell, 87 of Santa Paula, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2006 after a brief illness. Mrs. Bell was born August 29, 1918 in Burkesville, Kentucky. The family moved to California, where she was an 80-year resident of Ventura County.Mrs. Bell was a homemaker to her husband and children, as well as helping in the family business from time to time. She enjoyed Bingo, sewing, reading, traveling, and being with her family.Gladys was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, George Bell; her parents, Porter and Trudie Shelley; sister Lucille Everette and Millie Peters; and brother Roy Shelley.Mrs. Bell is survived by her son, Charles Bell of Modesto; daughters, Christina (husband Jay) Welch of Selma, Oregon and Trudy Bell of San Luis Obispo; grandsons, Lloyd Bell of Santa Paula and Tony Welch of Selma, Oregon; granddaughters, Tammy Bell of Santa Paula and Kellie Welch of Cave Junction, Oregon; and numerous great-grandchildren.Graveside services will be Thursday, March 30 at 1:30 p.m. at Pierce Brothers Santa Paula Cemetery.Arrangements are under the direction of Skillin-Carroll Mortuary, 738 E. Santa Paula St., Santa Paula, 525-3391.Pedro M. MunozPedro M. Munoz passed away on March 23, 2006. He was born June 18, 1926 in Santa Paula, and had been a resident of Ventura County for 45 years.Pedro worked at Limoneira Lemon Packing House for many years. He enjoyed woodworking, and driving his grandchildren to and from school. His family was his life.Mr. Munoz was preceded in death by his parents and brother Juan Munoz. He is survived by his wife Elodia; daughters, Rosario M. Bautista, Aurora M. Gonzalez and Norma M. Amaro; sons, Salvador B. Munoz and Pedro B. Munoz; grandchildren (nietos) Christina, Ernesto, Monica, Patricia, Lisa, Rosario, Efren, Javier, Carlos, Henry, Ricardo, Jaqueline, Juan, Juvenal, and Roberto; great-grandchildren (bisnietos) Juvenal Jr., Andres, Jasmine, Mia, Amanda, Alexa, Emilio, Diego, Mireya, and Mercedes; sisters, Sara Reyes, Maria Luz Fernandez, Abigail Borjon, and Teresa Vasquez; and brothers, Ismael Munoz and Javier Munoz.Visitation for Pedro Munoz will be held on Thursday, March 30 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Stetler’s Chapel, with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Funeral Mass will be on Friday, March 31 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, with burial following at Pierce Brothers Santa Paula Cemetery.

She was a dedicated wife and mother to her family. Ana had been a Ventura County resident for 26 years.Ana was preceded in death by her brother, Baldomero Vega; nephew, Rogelio Torres; and brother-in-law Miguel Lopez Rosales.Ana is survived by her husband of 10 years, Pedro; children, Peter Anthony and Joanna; parents, Jose Guadalupe and Maria Vega; brothers and sisters, Teresa (Porfirio) Carrillo of Juarez, Mexico, Hilario (Antolina) Vega of Santa Ana, Graciela (Raul Castanon, Amparo (Juven) Contreras, Maria (Eliceo Torres), Elena Soto, Martin (Lorena) Vega, Alicia (Francisco) Vigil, Ma. Guadalupe (Eliaser) Lopez, and Luz (Jose Luis) Guillen; 40 nieces and nephews; and 19 great nieces and nephews.Visitation for Ana will be on Wednesday, March 29 from 4 to 9 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, with a rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 30 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 427 N. Oak Street.
