Trash truck catches fire

A Consolidated Disposal Truck created a lot of smoke Friday morning when the driver realized his truck was on fire. The fire occurred in the 300 block of E. Santa Barbara Street. The truck fire got an immediate reponse from the Santa Paula Fire Department along with an engine from the Ventura County Fire Department. The fire was extinguished quickly with damage to the engine compartment and cab.
