Southern California Edison (SCE) and the Ventura County Regional Energy Alliance (VCREA) are working together through the Ventura County Energy Leader Partnership to promote awareness of energy efficiency and stimulate community action toward good energy stewardship.
SCE is pleased to assist in this effort by providing energy-efficient equipment installations to its business customers at no cost through SCE’s Direct Install program. Qualified customers and organizations with demand of up to 199 kilowatts of electricity per month may benefit from this offer.
SCE- approved contracted vendors and energy experts will visit Ventura, Oxnard, Camarillo, Ojai, Santa Paula, Port Hueneme, Oak View, and Somis in the month of August to give customers advice and help them get started. A facility energy survey will be conducted for customers at no cost, and participants may receive offers to replace certain equipment with energy-efficient items free of charge.
Upon the customer’s agreement, the vendor will make arrangements to install the recommended energy-efficient replacement equipment at no cost. The process typically takes less than two hours, and it can be done during regular business hours.
