The Lady Cardinal varsity softball team sent the Malibu Sharks home with an 11-10 loss Tuesday. This win puts Santa Paula in second place in the Frontier League behind Oaks Christian, who are undefeated in league play. The Lady Cards have a 10-6 record overall and a 4-3 league record. Nordhoff, Malibu and Santa Clara follow them.Nianna Morris got the win for Santa Paula. She now has a 3-4 record. She gave up nine hits and had seven strikeouts.Individual offensive statistics for Santa Paula:Janice Alamillo went 3-4 with one run, one stolen base and two RBIs; Janelle Perez went 2-4 with one run, one stolen base and two RBIs; Pati Arana went 3-4 with three runs, a double, a triple, an intentional walk and one RBI; Heather Sliger went 3-4 with one run and one RBI; Celina Rios went 3-4 with two runs and three RBIs, including a two-run homer in the 6th; Andrea Villa went 2-4 with a double and a strike out; Monica Garcia went 2-4 with one run, a double and two RBIs; Nianna Morris went 1-3 with one run and a walk; Ashley Jacinto went 2-3 with one run and a walk.
