Cosentini announces Jay appointment as Finance Director

Peter A. Cosentini, City Manager for the City of Santa Paula, announced the appointment of Glenda D. Jay as Finance Director for the City, effective January 18, 2000. Ms. Jay has over 25 years experience in government finance, most recently serving as the Interim Finance Director for the City of Coachella. Previous to that, she served six years as the Assistant Finance Director for the City of Palmdale, and has also worked for the cities of Big Bear Lake and Loma Linda, and the East Valley Water District.
Ms. Jay earned a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Cal State University, Northridge, and has a B.A. degree in Administration with an Accounting major from Cal State College, San Bernardino.She has been active in the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers (CSMFO), the Government Finance Officers Association of the USA and Canada (GFOA), and the California Municipal Treasurers Association (CMTA).During her service at the City of Palmdale, the City won awards from CSMFO and and GFOA for its operating budget and comprehensive annual finance report.
Ms. Jay says, “I am very pleased to be given the opportunity to serve the City of Santa Paula. I look forward to working with everyone at the City itself and the citizens. I enjoy the history and the old buildings in Santa Paula, and look forward to becoming part of that history.”
