Varsity girls miss out at home against Sharks

Despite a strong effort, the Lady Cardinal varsity girls dropped a home game to Malibu 45-35. The Lady Cards led by 2 points at the end of the first quarter and were ahead 19-14 at the half. Malibu came on strong in the second half, edging ahead by 5 points at the end of the third quarter and going on to win.Bianca Castillo topped the scoring for Santa Paula with 17 points. Nicole Sliger had 11 and Erika Mora had 4 points.The girls take on Nordhoff in a home game this evening at 5:30 p.m.
