Teofila Barrios Teofila Barrios, age 90, of Santa Paula, passed away June 26, 2000 following a brief illness. She was born March 3, 1910 in Mexico, and was a 70-year county resident coming from Mexico.A homemaker for 57 years, she was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupanos and very active in the St. Sebastian Catholic Church and Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church; she worked in the rectory at St. Sebastian. She loved gardening.She is survived by her daughters, Vikki (Ken) Keosian of Santa Barbara, Rebecca (Claude) Smith of Alma, Arkansas, Caroline (Steave) Evans of Grass Valley, Margaret (Chuck) Redman of Santa Paula, and Teresa (Doug) Cole of Santa Paula; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Campos and Lupe Donate, both of Ventura, and Annie Ramirez of Santa Paula; and brothers, Amador Alarcon and Carlos Alarcon, both of Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Barrios, and daughter Rosemary.Rosary and mass were held June 29 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Santa Paula, with burial at Santa Paula Cemetery.Arrangements under the direction of Skillin-Carroll Mortuary, Santa Paula.June C. June C. Bowker, age 81, of Santa Paula, passed away June 13, 2000 following a lengthy illness. She was born May 16, 1919 in Davis, California, a descendent of pioneers who settled Davis in the 1940s. She had been a Santa Paula resident for 60 years.Mrs. Bowker was a housewife, and a former member of the Assistance Association and various bridge clubs.She is survived by her husband, George Bowker of Santa Paula; daughters, Pamela Legan of Fillmore and Donna Bowker of Las Vegas, Nevada; nine grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, R. Britton Bowker, and all four of her siblings.She was cremated and, at her request, there were no services.Contributions in her memory may be made to Santa Clara Valley Hospice, Santa Paula Memorial Hospital, or to a charity of your choice.
