“There have been a lot of people claiming their property, but a lot haven’t,” said Cordero. Oddly, some people never did report that they were the victim of a theft: “I guess they figured it’s gone and that’s it, they’ll never see it again,” but Cordero said those with recovered property can still claim same. By Peggy KellySanta Paula TimesThe Santa Paula Police Department has plenty of loot recovered from recent arrests, and now those that haven’t claimed their property should step forward to get their stuff back.Sergeant Ish Cordero said that the recent arrest of brothers Danny Salka, 22, and Corey Salka, 24, for being in possession of stolen property - among other charges - produced numerous items that had been stolen in Thousand Oaks and Camarillo. Other suspects arrested in recent weeks also had dozens of items reported stolen in their possession.
