Members of Soroptimist International of Santa Paula recently attended the Camino Real Regional Spring Conference in Culver City. There are twenty-eight clubs in the region that spans from Lompoc to Long Beach and over three hundred Soroptimist members were in attendance.
SI of Santa Paula’s President Barbara Kroon and Past President Donna Stewart were there to represent the club and receive multiple accolades! The club garnered the Membership Trophy for bringing membership up drastically last year and the Governor’s Award in Excellence for participation in a variety of activities including community involvement, awarding the Woman’s Opportunity Award scholarship, contributing to breast cancer and heart disease research and awareness of social issues such as domestic violence and human trafficking. The club also received Honorable Mention in the category of Public Awareness (thanks largely to the Santa Paula Times!).
