Recently the Community Services Department and the Senior Center held a CarFit Safety Program in the parking lot of Glen City School. The review of the safety features on your car was free with trained technicians going over a 12 point safety checklist.

Checking taillights was Eleanor Moschetti, a certified CarFit technician from the Newhall Highway Patrol Office, while (front) Bob Hurwich, a volunteer through the RSVP program, looks at the headlights of a vehicle that stopped by for inspection.

The inspection included checking the steering wheel, seat belts, mirrors, brakes, headlights, taillights and more. The CarFit program was designed as an Educational Safety Program for seniors 55 and up.
