John Chamberlain, Director of Marketing for Limoneira Company (NASDAQ:LMNR), has been named Chairman of the Board for the Santa Paula Chamber of Commerce. His term will run from January 1, 2012, to January 1, 2013.

“I’m thrilled that we have somebody with John’s global business perspective to lead our Chamber” says outgoing Chairman Chris Sayer. “Combined with his strong relationships with the community, John really is an ideal leader for this organization.”

Founded in 1893, Limoneira has a long history with the Santa Paula Chamber of Commerce. A number of the company’s executives have led the Chamber since its creation in 1914. “Santa Paula and the Limoneira Company have been closely linked throughout their histories. It’s great to be able to continue this legacy of mutual cooperation and civic engagement” says Mr. Chamberlain.

2011 ends with many accomplishments for the Santa Paula Chamber. Membership has grown more than 25%, new shops and restaurants have opened downtown, and approval was gained for several new residential and commercial projects, including the East Area One master planned community on the city’s eastern boundary.
