A day at the beach in Santa Paula

Kids in the Santa Paula Recreation Department’s Summer Camp 2002 spent a day at the beach Wednesday, but never left town. It was Hawaiian Beach Day at Veterans Park, complete with a water slide, hula hoops, beach volleyball and more. There was plenty of water everywhere, as Rec Department staff sprayed everyone in sight with hoses and super-soaker water guns. The next special event for the children in the Summer Camp program was set for today (Wednesday), starting at 11:30 a.m. It’s Mardi Gras Day at Ebell Park. Photos by Brian D. Wilson
