EAA members are trying to give one million young people between the ages of 8 and 17 an airplane ride as an introduction to a career in aviation. The program is worldwide and has passed the half million mark to date. The goal is to reach one million youth by 2003, the 100th anniversary of aviation. Neil Fowler is in charge and can be reached at 647-6994 for information and reservations. Pilots donate their time and efforts for this program and it is available at the Santa Paula Airport during the Aviation Museum of Santa Paula’s First Sunday at the Airport event each month.
