Do you think it will make it very easy for anyone who needs assistance for anything including to pay their bills on time or what? I don’t think so. I think doing that will cause some but not all kinds of problems so that would be something to consider thinking about.I know some get every other Friday off but others like the ones at the Recreation Department get every other Monday off. So consider giving one department off every other Friday and not the whole city but if push comes to shove on the other we can try to live with it so let’s try and see how it will with everyone work out like they all used to or will say it won’t hurt to try it out so let’s give it a try okay.John A. Library thankful for supportTo the Editor:The trustees of Blanchard Community Library want to say thank you to the people of Santa Paula for your positive votes for the increase in the parcel tax, which helps to support the library. We needed 66.6% of the vote, which is not easy, and we actually cleared over 68%. With this increased income we are planning to return to the old schedule of being open again on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, beginning July 1. We will also be able to repave the south parking lot, which has become very rough underfoot for our patrons. And we will be able to increase the library materials budget, which will enhance the collection of books, magazines, and books on CDs and audiotapes. The campaign to pass the tax increase took lots of volunteer time and effort. We want to thank the campaign committee for that effort, which will benefit so many in our community. Also, we want to thank the Santa Paula City Council for coming to the assistance of the library at a critical time and Mr. Bobkiewicz for his study of the library’s needs.Thank you to all Santa Paula citizens who have shown support for their library. What a great community Santa Paula is. We love you all.Brenda deJamaerPresident, Blanchard Community Library Board of TrusteesDr. Dora CrouchBlanchard Community Library Trustee
