Briggs 4-H kids take big awards at the Ventura County Fair

(Above left) Anna Haller, Briggs 4-H, 7th grader at Mesa Union in Somis, took Grand Champion Lamb at the Ventura County Fair. Her lamb’s name is Mutton and weighed 142 pounds. This is her sixth year at the fair with a lamb. Her father is Richard Haller. (Center) Conner Held, Briggs 4-H, 7th grader at Briggs School, took Grand Champion Goat at the Ventura County Fair. The goat’s name is Seymore and weighed 88 pounds. This is his third year with a goat project. His parents are Craig and Denise Held.(Right) Kianna Denton, Briggs 4-H, 7th grader at Isbell Middle School, took Reserve Grand Champion Goat at the Ventura County Fair. The goat’s name is Angel and weighed 88 pounds. This is her third year with a goat project.
